Cross Country Skiing
Instruction for Beginners
 |
 |
Cross country skiing uses natural movements. Learn the basic techniques needed for
flat terrain, up, and down hills. Become familiar with waxing and maintaining ski equipment
or choosing the correct clothing for all levels of skiing. Take a easy glide through
the woods on freshly fallen snow, travel at your own pace enjoying the views, the serenity,
the quiet!
Cross country skiing is one of the healthiest recreational activities for the body and soul.
Absorbing the beauty of nature with its towering trees, mountain vistas, or endless snow covered
meadows while experiencing a total body workout. No one is ever too old or too young to cross
country ski. Seniors love it because you can ski at your own pace for as long (or as short)
a time as you wish, many enjoying the sport well into their eighties. Families even young children
can glide together and you can even bring the baby along on a pulk (sled). Some areas even
say bring Fido with you if he promises to behave.
Try this lifetime sport that won’t take a lifetime to learn, get a cardiovascular
workout in some of the most spectacular settings in nature. It is adventure for some,
peace of mind for others. Ski for the taste of clean air, sighing wind, through hardwood
forests, past frozen lakes and waterfalls, weathered barns, More than mere recreation,
this is euphoria! It can be either social or solitary, families, couples, and individuals.
Enjoy the outdoors in winter, at your own speed.
Intermediate & Advanced tours in the back country.
We will guide you to the best local cross country skiing trails, instruct you in advanced skills,
