A Climbing Clinic For Families

Do your kids want adventure? Do you want an outdoor family activity that will engage both your spouse and children? Why not consider rock climbing with us!

Families Who Rock, will teach basic rock climbing fundamentals to the family group. Families Who Rock can be conducted outside at a nearby cliff, or inside a local climbing gym. All information will be relayed to each child according to their appropriate age and development. Emphasis will be on safety, learning skills, equipment and climbing terms. Parents will be instructed alongside their children while discovering courage, excitement and the thrill of Adventure.

Rock climbing can be fun, and the entire family can participate with the assistance and direction of our expert staff. Child harness and safety helmets available.

Climbing Instructor

Barry has been teaching climbing since 1979. He has climbed extensively in New York's Adirondacks and Shawangunk Mountains, New Hampshire's White Mountains, Colorado's Boulder Canyon and Rocky Mountain National Park, and Seneca Rocks West Virginia. Barry is a Certified BSA climbing instructor and BSA Lifeguard. Barry has held certifications in Red Cross Water Safety, First Aid, and CPR. Barry has ten years teaching experience in adult education and is the director of the Riverview Counseling Center's experiential education center.
