Introduction to Climbing Clinics

This clinic will prepare an aspiring ice climber with the fundamental climbing and mountaineering skills necessary for that person(s) to effectively participate in our ice climbing clinics which we will be conducting this Winter. We will review belaying a climbing partner in various scenarios, tying yourself into the climbing rope, rappelling, rappelling backups, anchors, and rope management. Equipment provided by Riverview Outdoor Adventures.

Introduction to Ice Climbing Clinic

This clinic will teach the fundamentals of ice climbing and mountaineering. You will learn the techniques used to climb vertical waterfalls, movement with crampon on sloped terrain, create anchors, placing ice screws, belaying, rope management, and how to stay warm. Equipment provided by Riverview Outdoor Adventures.
