Personal Interests
Mary-Michael believes in the importance of being fully present in every moment, open to creative energy as a resource for living an enriched life.
Poetry
Mary-Michael's love for language is evident in her poetry, many of which have been published. Most importantly creativity reduces daily stress and continuously opens possibilities for learning while feeling alive and well. Writing poetry is telling a story, expressing a view, mapping out hopes and desires, and just simply letting go of conflict.
Poem of the Month - August 2008
You are going to college,
didn't I just put you on the bus to kindergarten?
Written as a gift to my son, John Matthew Levitt,
when he left for the University of Florida
By Mary-Michael Levitt
With all my love
I encourage you
to
make a life long friend
find a mentor
follow your instincts
eat, sleep, play oh and of course study
Be curious
think for yourself
have courage
smile
know when to rest
or
walk that extra step
Remember your past
be loyal
pray
love intensely
feel pride and be comfortable with confusion
Pace yourself
let go
of
what you
have no control of
Focus
Know
Be alive
and
above all
Call your mother !!!

Photography
Mary-Michael's other creative passion is photography. She is a beginner and technologically challenged but is proof that anyone can learn. Photography is half art and half technology so Mary-Michael focuses on her love of the environment and the animals with whom we reside. When Mary-Michael needs to get connected with nature all she has to do is walk right out the door of her office to find treasure's of nature right in her own backyard.
